1. About this service

Life 2 Legacies is a secure digital vault operated by Hindle Consultants Pty Ltd (ABN 82 776 195 367), registered at 36 Park Cove Boulevard, Hope Island QLD 4212, Australia. The service allows subscribers to document, store, and selectively share estate planning, personal wishes, and life documentation with trusted contacts.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Life 2 Legacies, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. These terms apply to all users including vault owners, co-holders, and contacts granted access.

3. Subscription and payment

Life 2 Legacies is offered as an annual subscription. A free trial period is provided as advertised at the time of signup. No credit card is required during the trial. Payment is processed via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise Hindle Consultants to charge the annual fee to your nominated payment method.

Subscriptions renew automatically each year. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable Australian consumer law.

If payment fails, we will retry and notify you. Access may be suspended after 20 days of non-payment.

4. Your data and content

You retain ownership of all content you store in your vault. Hindle Consultants does not claim any rights over your data. All vault content is encrypted at rest using AES-256 with keys managed via AWS KMS. Hindle Consultants staff cannot read the contents of your vault.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you store. Do not store content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

5. Granting access to contacts

You control who has access to your vault and under what conditions. When you grant a contact access, you accept responsibility for that grant. Time-delayed access is a safeguard, not a guarantee — you should regularly review your contact list and revoke access that is no longer appropriate.

Hindle Consultants is not responsible for consequences arising from access granted to contacts, including access that occurs after your death or incapacitation.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or unexpected events may cause downtime. We will provide reasonable notice of planned maintenance where possible.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Material changes to these terms will be communicated by email.

7. Limitation of liability

Life 2 Legacies is a documentation and storage service. It is not a substitute for legal advice, a formal will, an advance care directive, or any other legally binding document. You should consult a qualified solicitor for formal estate planning.

To the extent permitted by law, Hindle Consultants' liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

8. Data retention and deletion

Your vault data is retained while your subscription is active and for 90 days after cancellation or expiry, during which you may request a data export. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.

You may request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@hindleconsultants.com.

9. Privacy

The collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By using Life 2 Legacies, you consent to the practices described in that policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
